We do not currently accept Medicaid. Due to Ohio's Medicaid enrollment moratorium, we are not enrolled as a Medicaid provider at this time. We understand this may be a concern for some families — and we want to be transparent about it. The good news: there are several other programs and funding sources that can cover the cost of care, many of which families are unaware of. Keep reading to learn more.
Ways to Pay for Care
You have more options than you think. From private pay to veteran benefits to long-term care insurance, here's how families fund care with us.
Private Pay
Pay directly for care at transparent hourly rates. No insurance paperwork, no approvals — just straightforward, high-quality care on your schedule. Perfect for families who want flexibility and immediate service.
No enrollment requiredLong-Term Care Insurance
If your loved one holds a long-term care insurance policy (Genworth, Mutual of Omaha, John Hancock, Transamerica, and others), it likely covers non-skilled home care from a licensed agency like ours. We can help you navigate the claims process.
No agency credentialing requiredVA Aid & Attendance
Veterans and surviving spouses who receive VA pension may qualify for the Aid & Attendance benefit — a monthly cash allowance that can be used to pay any licensed home care agency. If your family member served, this benefit may be available to them.
For eligible veterans & spousesVA Community Care
Veterans authorized for community-based care through their VA provider can receive services from approved agencies like ours. The VA pays directly — no out-of-pocket cost to the veteran. We are currently completing our VA Community Care enrollment.
Enrollment in progressODA Title III / Area Agency on Aging
Adults 60+ in Cuyahoga County may qualify for funded home care through the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) using Older Americans Act (Title III) funds — completely separate from Medicaid. Call WRAAA at 216-621-8010 to check eligibility.
For seniors 60+ in Cuyahoga CountyCuyahoga County / SSBG
Cuyahoga County contracts with home care providers to serve low-income individuals through Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) funding. This is available to people who do not qualify for Medicaid or are still in the enrollment process. Contact DJFS for eligibility.
For income-qualifying individualsVeterans: Benefits You May Not Know About
Many veteran families leave significant benefits on the table because they're unaware of them. Here's what's available for home care.
VA Aid & Attendance — What It Is and How to Use It
The Aid & Attendance benefit is an enhanced VA pension for veterans or surviving spouses who need help with daily activities — bathing, dressing, medication, meals, and more. Eligible individuals can receive up to $2,200+/month to pay for in-home care.
Unlike VA Community Care, this benefit does not require your agency to be VA-credentialed. You receive the benefit and use it to pay any licensed home care agency — including us. If your family member served in the military and is having trouble with daily activities, they may qualify.
To apply, contact a VA-accredited claims agent or your local Veterans Service Organization (VSO) — American Legion, VFW, or DAV posts in Cleveland can help at no cost.
